Clovis, New Mexico
Clovis is a jobbing center with many warehouses,
also a storage point with six large elevators for
wheat and other grain grown in this area. It is a
feeding point for livestock being shipped east
with a stop-over at the Clovis feeding pens for
fattening. Á new industry is the Packing Plant lo-
cated here — built by bond issues it is leased to
the Swift Packing Company and is a major part
of the economy along with the tourist trade.
There are many sights to be seen here and close
by – the modern Motels — Restaurants — Hotel
and Cafes will make your stay most enjoyable.
