Empie Kartoon Kards are one of the earliest copyrights for western cartoon postcards.
Arizona's native Hal Empie originated these cards during the early 1930's in Dun-
can, Arizona. Originals are preserved in permanent archives at both the Carnegie w
Library, N.Y., and in a special collection of Mr. Empie's life and work at the Arizona
Historical Foundation. Today he is a well known western painter and the Empie's
have the Hal Empie Studio, Tubac, Arizona.
