Built during the Klondike Gold rush, in 1898-1900,
the narrow-gauge WP&YR runs 110 miles from
Skagway, Alaska, to Whitehorse, Capital of Canada's
Yukon Territory. Containers on the dock hold
freight bound to or from Yukon mines - principal
tonnages in asbestos, lead-zinc, and copper.
