The Delco Radio Division, was started by
General Motors in Kokomo, Indiana in 1936. The
Division developed push button tuning, signal
seeking radios, transistor powered radios, all-
transistor radios and auto portable all-transistor
radios.
Delco also produces electronic controls for
garage door operators, heater and air-condition-
ing controls and is developing a highway com-
munication device and a proximity warning de-
vice operating on radar principles.
