Additional Details:
Gulf Mill is about one and a half miles from Schuylkill River and about six moles from the village of Valley Forge, on the road to Bryn Mawr. After the Continental Army moved from White Marsh, it crossed the river at Swedesford and camped in the hills around Gulf Mill from December 13th to the 19th, 1777. The old mill dates from 1747
