Reverse side of this card is a Maximum. This Velvetone Maximum is made from a photograph of the working model of the stamp, but has been enlarged to post card size. The 3c purple stamp issued specially in honor of the Fifth International Philatelic Exhibition held in the mammoth new Coliseum as one of the co-opening events of this largest such building ever built for exhibition purposes is given First Day of Issue release in New York, NY, Monday, April 30, 1956. Stamp is 0.84" x 1.44" in dimension, arranged horizontally, printed by rotary process, electric-eye perforated and issued in sheets of 50. Stamp bears a picture of and is captioned at bottom, "New York Coliseum 1956." Even if bearing a stamp on other side, this card must not be mailed unless bearing two cents postage on this side
