Located between 138th and 140th Streets at Amster-
dam Avenue, this institution was founded in 1847, the total
cost of which was over $4,000,000. The beautiful stadium
was made possible through the donation of Adolph
Lewisohm, millionaire philanthropist. Here, during the
summer months, the justly famed Stadium Concerts are
held featuring the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and
many prominent soloists.
