The War College is located in the extreme southern part of the Washington Barracks formerly known as the Arsenal Grounds, and overlooks the Potomac River. Engineer, cavalry, artillery, and infantry officers form the classes of this college where they study the science and strategy of war. In front of the college may be seen the statue of Frederick the Great. This statue is a duplicate of one in Berlin and was presented to the United States by Emperor William II of Germany
