Old Man of Hoy, Orkney Islands. The Island of Hoy
affords the only grand scenery in all the Orkney group.
Here there is an isolated and very impressive bit of rock
scenery in the shape of the "Old Man," a stack of old red
sandstone 450 feet high, perhaps eight or nine times its
width, which is almost uniform from top to base.
