Looking to Sgor Chalum. Glen Nevis is in the
Lochaber district of the West Highlands and forms the
valley for the River Nevis from the mountains to Fort
William. It is about 6 miles long and bounded on the
north by Ben Nevis (4,410 feet) and the south by Sgor
a Mhaim (3,601 feet) Bennan More (3,700 feet) Stol Ban
(3,724 feet) and other precipitous peaks. Sgor Chalum
(1,818 feet) is in the centre of the glen on the south
side of the river.
