Inverlochy Castle is about 1/2 miles north east
of Forth William overlooking Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil.
Although in ruins it is an impressive and majestic pile.
With its strong round towers at each corner and massive
walls it gives the impression of great strength. It was
once in the occupation of the Comyn family and tradition
says it was formerly the site of a Pictish town connected
with a mythical king Achaius about A. D. 790.
