Trophies of the Hunt. In northern Maine the sports-
man finds the best moose and deer hunting in America.
The deer, which o Ter such an abundance of diversion to
the hunter, are the common Virginian, or white-tailed
variety. It is estimated that there are shipped yearly from
Maine about 3,600 deer and about 225 moose. Besides
these, the bear adds his share to the huntsman's pastime.
