Snowdon from Llyn Llydaw. Snowdon, the highest
mountain in England and Wales, is, at Y Wyddia, its highest
point, 3,570 feet above the level of the sea. Mountains less
majestic stand round it, and at least a score of lakes lie at
its feet and reflect its beauty. The largest of these is Llyn
Llydaw, one mile long. Ireland is easily to be seen from
the summit in fair weather, and Scotland may sometimes
be descried.
