The Clan Urquhart. A small clan dating from the
time of David II. Their origin is obscure, but the name is
probably taken from the district so called in the county of
Inverness. The chief of the day was a devoted loyalist, and
fought with the Scots army at the Battle of Worcester
(1651). He was a fine scholar, and was the first to translate
Rabelais into English. The badge is "Wallflower."
