THE VIEW FROM THE TOP OF THE OLD MAN
OF THE MOUNTAIN surpasses description and nothing
more beautiful is found in this region, Below lies the
placid Echo Lake, close by is the famous Profile House,
over which towers Eagle Cliff To the right is the great
wall of Kinsman, to the left the bare scarred ridges of La-
fayette Lincoln, Haystack and Liberty, and in the dis-
tance is seen the towering heights of Washington.
