LACKAWANNA TRAIL
Delaware Water Gap to Scranton, Pa.
The Lackawanna Trail gains its name through the
construction of thirty-three miles of the one hundred
and twenty between Binghamton and the Delaware
Water Gap over an abandoned roadbed of the
Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad
Company.
The country traversed is equal in beauty to any
z that America may boast. It is rich in interest to
the stranger, for its history is replete with stirring
incidents of the nation's early struggle for freedom.
The road passes under the famous "Nicholson
Bridge, considered one of the eight wonders of
the world.
