This werry elaborate Pile is ereckted in memory of Tolomato. A seminole ingine gheef whoos wigwarm stuud on this spot and surroundings. Wee cherris his memory as he was a good harted gheef, he wood knot take yoor skalp without you begged him to do so, or pade him sum munny. He always akted more like a christshun Gentleman than a savage ingine. Let him R. I. P. This monument was erected at corner of cordova and Orange Streets. April 1st 1893, by T. W. Speissegger, being the date of change, by Mr. flagler's request of Tolomato Street to what is now cordova. South of this monument is the cenetery started in 1784, and always known as Tolomato cemetery. |
