The American Bison Saved. White hunters, Indians and wolves wiped out the great herds of buffalo, which roamed the ranges before and during the time the Northern were brought to Yellowstone Park for protection; others to the U. s. Biological ranch in western Montana. Today a thousand buffalo thunder over the hills of these two reserves and the herds are rapidly multiplying. The American bison is saved. The photograph reproduced on this card was made by Huffman, near Miles City, 50 years ago.
