Jerk Line Twelve
Additional Details:
On the Old Freight Road before the railroad Came. Ahead of the Northern Pacific. For the pioneers, ox-teams "freighted" merchandise, mining machinery, farm implements, clothing, furniture and food into and through the Northwest just a half century ago. Along these laborious trails today, railroads and gravel highways make quick and easy transport. This photograph on the Yellowstone was taken on the Northern Pacific right-of-way just 50 years ago. |
