Front:
Greetings
GoDown
Down, Down, sweet County Down,
What memories thy name doth recall,
Of lov'd ones of youth and of childhood:
The old homestead the dearest of all.
Downpatrick its name from our patron Saint takes,
His dust makes the place sacred ever;
And some spots of renown are the Frontier Town,
Ballynahinch, Dolly's brae, and Rostrevor.
The lordly Slieve Donard at Newcastle stands,
From the summit we view Bangor Bay.
Banbridge, Newtownards, Holywood, Warrenpoint,
Isle of Man, and the famous Lough Neagh.
Down, Down, sweet County Down,
For patriots, statesmen, and sages-
Of talents rare, and maidens fair,
Thou art famed in history's pages.
