Originally the figurehead of the U.S.S. Delaware,
the bust of the Indian chief is a good-luck
charm of the midshipmen, who toss pennies at it
for luck. For special occasions like the Navy-
Army game, it is decorated with warpaint; during
the rest of the year, it stands in its natural
stone-grey.
