ROARING 20's
Featured in the Men's Room adjoining the Roar-
ing 20's are replicas of the Manneken Boy, made
by the famous sculptor Francois Duquesnoy as a
reward to the finder of his lost son-the pose to
be as the boy was found. Hidden during the 1695
bombardment, the statue was found and kid-
napped by the British. Later, taken by the French,
Louis XV bestowed him with a gold embroidered
suit. Now, the statue has quite a collection of
suits, which he wears on ceremonial occasions
-many given by American and British forces
after World War II.
