CRUISER "CLEVELAND". One of the newest
cruisers in the Navy and was built at Bath, Me. 292 feet long
and 44 feet broad, with displacement of 3,500 tons Speed, 16
knots per hour. Horse-power, 4,700. Cost, about $1,041,000.
Her armament is unique, consisting of ten 5-inch guns in
addition to the usual batteries of rapid-firing, Colt automatic
and field guns. Carries 19 officers and 308 men.
