YOSEMITE VALLEY FROM ARTIST'S POINT. One of
the most impressive panoramas of the Yosemite is seen from
Artist's Point. The Yosemite Valley proper is seven miles
long and its greatest width is two and one half miles, although
throughout most of its extent it is from one-half to three-
quarters of a mile wide. The view from Artist's Point gives
to the sightseer perhaps the clearest impression of the massive
granite walls of the Valley.
