boys in their spotless white, but that isn't the
limit to their range of activity-not by a long,.
long, shot! Our gunners have earned the repu-
tation of being the finest marksmen in the
world. One of these turret crews, on the dread-
naught, Texas, recently made 48 hits out of a
possible 59, and another crew on the battleship
Florida fired 58 shots from their 12-inch gun,
and 54 of them were hits. Do you wonder that
we say without fear of contradiction, that other
navies willingly admit that we have in
United States navy the greatest gunners in the
world?
