Additional Details:
Kiel is one of the oldest towns in Holstein, being founded by Count Adolf of Schauenburg during the 13th century. It is situated at the south end of the Kieler Fohrde, on of the best havens in Europe, and, thanks to this, it is the chief war-harbour in Germany and, the headquarters of the German fleet. The harbour is invariably well filled with warships of all sizes
