Custer, where gold was discovered 75 years
ago, has a variety of scenic attractions. Near-
by are many trout streams, sparkling and
å refreshing lakes, the famous buffalo herd,
Jewel Cave Nat'l Monument, Wind Cave
Nat'l Park, the Needles Highway, an engineer-
ing marvel, Mt. Rushmore, "Shrine of Dem-
ocracy" and Custer State Park.
Not far from City, Korczak Ziolkowski, fa-
mous sculptor, is now working on "Chief
Crazy Horse" Memorial for the Sioux Indians.
