Greetings From Las Cruces
Additional Details:
Greetings from Las Cruces, N. M., a beautiful city in the fertile Mesilla Valley. Cabeza de Vaca and his there companions probably passed near here in 1536 as they walked from coast to coast - the first whites to tread New Mexican soil. Settled by the Spanish colonists, it has been continually occupied since, being especially adapted to cotton growing and agriculture. The State Agricultural college is located here. |
