The State Capitol of Utah is located in Salt Lake City,
the principal city of the State, and world-famous as the
headquarters of the Mormon Church. Utah has an area
of 84,970 square miles, and was admitted to the Union in
1896. The State floral emblem is the sego lily. The name
Utah was adopted from that of the Indians living in that
region.
