MUSCOGEE COUNTY COURT HOUSE
The spacious Muscogee Court House in
Columbus serves to accommodate both county
and city government officials. It has been
compared favorably to statehouse buildings
because of its large site and spaciousness.
A brick three-story structure, the court
house was constructed in 1895. A distinctive
feature of the building is the Corinthian
column which is placed in the exact center
of the front portico an unusual arrange-
ment from an architectural point of view.
