HIGH SCHOOL. The Manchester High School, at the
corner of Lowell and Concord Streets, was established in 1846,
at a cost of about $ 60,000, but now the grounds, building,
and equipments represent a municipal investment of $ 210,000.
The High School has about 12 instructors and over 450 students,
both sexes, and there are about 1,000 volumes in its iibrary.
