Ohio's First Town
The cabin in which John Schebosch lived was
the first structure in the Village to be recon-
structed. It was completed in June-July, 1927.
Schebosch, whose real name was John Bull,
joined the Moravian Church in 1742, and de-
voted his life to service in the Indian Mission.
The Village was reconstructed under the sup-
ervision of The Ohio State Archaeological and
Historical Society, and is administered as a State
Memorial.
