The Desert Botanical Garden of Arizona is
the only botanical garden in the world de-
voted exclusively to desert plants. It is
located on 306 acres of Papago State Park
near Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale, Arizona.
More than 1,000 of the 1,650 known species
of cacti are on display here. Lectures illus-
trated by color slides are held in the Adminis-
tration Building as a weekly feature of the
winter tourist entertainment program.
