The Railroad Station. The Union Station was com-
pleted in 1927. More than one hundred and thirty pas-
senger trains pass through it daily on three main railroads-
the Boston and Albany; the New York, New Haven & Hart-
ford; and the Boston & Maine. They afford frequent pas-
senger and mail service in all directions East and West.
There are 106 mail trains a day handling over five thousand
sacks of mast and parcel post.
