EGGS. The price of Eggs is a little better than last week,
particularly on fine stock, which is scarce. Many Western
Eggs are arriving in bad order.
BUTTER. The Butter Market is quiet and prices have declined
a little, on all grades. We do not expect to see a much further
decline on fine goods.
CHEESE. Ihere was an unwarranted advance in Cheese early
in the week, caused by speculators in the country. But the
heavy receipts, which exceed the receipts of any week, within
our remembrance, together with the hot weather and the ina
hility of foreign steamship lines to move them, have caused a
decline in price. There will be a good many carried over. but
we expect light receipts the coming week, and do not think
there will be much farther decline.
