THE ROOK.-Corvus Frugilegus Frugilegus
(Linn.) builds its nest in a rookery in tree
tops. The nest, usually high up in an
Elm or other tall trees, consists of sticks
and mud lined with grass and wool and
hair. The Rook lays three to six eggs,
greenish, mottled with olive brown. Length
