Carduelis Carduelis
Britannica (Hart.) is one of the smaller
finches and is perhaps the most handsome
of them all. It's usual haunts are in wooded
waste places. The nest is built of grass,
roots, moss, lichens and wool. The eggs
are nearly white, speckled with purplish-
dark brown. Length 5".
