FAIRFIELD MUSEUM
is on the site of the Moravian mission village of Fair-
field, founded in the wilderness in 1792, plundered and
burned to the ground in 1813 by American troops during
the war of 1812-14. Running through the site of the
village is the Avenue of Peace, and at its centre a
Monument of Commemoration erected by the Government
of Canada. The Museum contains Indian artifacts and
handicraft and documents relating to Moravian Church
history and the mission to the Delaware Indians.
