Wooster is the center of one of America's
finest agricultural sections, the site of Ohio
Agricultural Experiment Station as well as The
College of Wooster. The city was named in
honor of David Wooster, a Revolutionary War
General. Wayne county of which Wooster is
the county seat was established in 1796 by Gov.
ernor Arthur St. Clair.
