Clock Tower and Entrance to Sandringham. Here
at the end of a pathway of warm red sand rise the red
buildings of Sandringham House, which derives its name
from the same red soil which runs as far as Wolferton.
The house is of brick with dressings of Ketton stone, and the
clock tower (which faces the entrance) is also built in the
Elizabethan style. The entrance gates of the house are fine
modern specimens of ironwork, and were the county's
wedding present to King Edward, then Prince of Wales.
