Waterloo Place is a continuation of Regent Street,
and leads from Piccadilly Circus to St. James's Park. At
the park end is the Guards' Memorial, a monumental group
erected by Bell to the memory of the Foot Guards who
fell at Inkerman. On the top is a bronze figure of Honour
holding laurel wreaths, in the front are three statues of
guardsimen, and at the back a trophy of Russian guns
taken at Sebastopol.
