Fitchburg Jail. This large brick building, for
incarceration of those guilty of minor offences in
Worcester County, is in South Fitchburg, facing
on Water Street, to which the lawn shown in the
picture extends. The residence of the keeper,
together with the stable, is seen at the left. A large
years, is in the rear, where the chimney rises just
behind the tower.
