The residence of the late Judge Joseph
Story, built by him in 1811, is at 26 Winter Street
Here February 12th, 1819 was born his son,
William Wetmore Story, the noted author and
sculptor. The cradle of Joseph and William
W. Story is now at the institute. General La-
fayette was entertained here by Judge Story
August 31st 1824.
