ROCK POINT is the residence the Rt. He C. A.
Hall, the present Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Diocese
of Vermont. The grounds, now comprising over 100 acres,
were originally purchased, in 1841, by the Rt. Rev. J. H
Hopkins, the first Bishop of the Diocese. On June 7th,
1860, a large Gothic stone building, designed for a boys'
school and theological seminary, was completed, and on
Sept. 19th, 1888, a handsome building for a girls' school
was consecrated.
