VISITORS CENTER & MUSEUM
Zion National Park, Utah
In the
background may be seen West Temple
at the left, which is the highest peak in the
Park. It rises 3802 feet above the valley to an
elevation of 7795 feet. Towers of the Virgin are
in the center and at the right the Altar of
Sacrifice, so named by pioneers because of the
red stain on the cliff face. This majestic and
colorful formation may be seen near the Park
south entrance.
