Mark Twain Hotel at Elmira, N. Y., may be seen
a panoramic mural of the valley as seen from
Harris Hill Glider Field. Since its selection by
the American Aeronautical Society as the national
center of gliding research and development be-
cause of ideal air currents, over half a million
dollars has been spent at Harris Hill on build-
ings, hangars, runways and roads. It has been
for several years the site of the annual National
Glider Association Meeting.
