BANK OF APPLE VALLEY - Apple Valley, California. An
unusual bank building in that the vault is on the outside.
The vault is constructed of steel, concrete and native stone.
This allows expansive use of glass in the main building
which affords a fine view of the surrounding desert.
Erected in 1952 it has gained national recognition for its
attractiveness and functional design.
