RMS KING GEORGE V
The pioneer high pressure turbine ship, built in
1926 by William Denny & Bros. Ltd. for Tur-
bine Steamers Ltd., was acquired in 1935 by
David MacBrayne Ltd., a railroad owned com-
pany. Converted to oil in 1951, the "RMS King
George V" is the oldest major passenger vessel
