Introduced at the Seventh World's Poultry Congress in 1939 at Cleveland, Ohio, and acclaimed as the most popular and educational exhibit; since then it has been featured in many state fairs, national and sectional poultry and turkey shows. The hen is made of plastic, transparent material, so that the organs are seen in normal position and natural colors. The original hen is healthy. A duplicate hen shows the common infectious diseases. The third hen shows the parasitic conditions, both internal and external. Two other transparent plastic models show the development of round and tape worms within the intestines.
