William H. Bonney, better known as Billy, The Kid. An authentic picture of the famous outlaw from an original tintype, which, showing the object in reverse, made him appear left-handed, causing much comment by writers as he is known to have been right-handed. The print is reversed fro the original to show him as he really appeared. Famous Southwestern Outlaw. Began his career of crime at the age of 12 years in Silver City. N. M. Was one of the gang in the notorious Lincoln County wars between rival factions of "Cattle Kings" of the 1870's. Many books have been written describing his checkered career. He was killed by Sheriff pat Garrett in the old pete Maxwell house, fort Sumner, N. M. in 1881, and his grave may still be seen at Old fort Sumner.
